Aldemar Resorts believes in people and in the value of building relationships with its employees and one of these relationships is with Kostas. Kostas is Front Office Manager at Aldemar Knossos Royal & Knossos Villas and he has been part of our team since 2001. Kostas holds the belief that hotels offer experiences to their guests and thus his focus has always been on making every experience memorable. To his mind, service is about understanding, anticipating guests’ needs and implementing flawlessly. Take a moment to read his story.


  • How does it feel to be part of the Aldemar Resorts’ team?

I’m grateful to be part of a team that is truly passionate about the work that they do. It’s critical and at the same time wonderful to know that your efforts and your presence may have an impact on the company’s image, especially in this case that Aldemar Resorts is one of the leading hotel groups in Greece.


  • Which part of your work do you enjoy the most?

It’s probably not surprising, but I love it when I welcome repeater guests. It is very important that we are customer-oriented and that we fully understand and cater for our customers’ needs. This is appreciated by the guests and it creates customer loyalty. It’s great to know that our guests develop an emotional attachment with us. It’s greatly fulfilling.


  • What’s a work related story which is engraved in your memory and you will always remember?

A very important moment throughout my career was the Conference of the Foreign Ministers of the European Union which was held at Aldemar Knossos Royal in June 2003. I remember that during those days the security measures were extraordinary, the hotel was literally guarded by air and sea, the expectations were extremely high and the responsibility was tremendous. It was a very challenging time in my career but also very rewarding, as the Conference was crowned with huge success.


  • How many years are you in the Aldemar Resorts’ team?

I have been a part of Aldemar Resort’s team since 2001.


  • Which was your first job title in Aldemar Resorts?

The same as today. Front Office Manager.


  • What are you passionate about?

I’m really passionate about windsurfing. I started 27 years ago and I’m self-taught.  Knowing how to windsurf feels like a superpower and this why is so exciting for me. Yet, it can offer so much relaxation; you “leave” everything on the shore, nothing in your way; it’s just you and the big blue.
