Aldemar Hotels Launches Gluten-Free Holidays In Greece

It seems fitting that the first person apparently to write about ‘Celiac disease’ or intolerance to gluten – was a Greek doctor called Arctaeus back in the first century, as Greek Hotel chain Aldemar Hotels ( is about to launch ‘gluten-free holidays’ at two of its luxury properties.

The hotel group is one of Greece’s leading hotel groups, offering eight four and five star properties in Crete, Rhodes and the West Peloponnese and has reputation for offering healthy lifestyle programmes in conjunction with its Thalassotherapy Spa Centres that cater to travellers with specific health and dietary needs, as well as holidaymakers looking for pampering and relaxation

Now they have gone a step further by catering for the ever increasing number of people that are gluten intolerant with a new range of menus, which will launch in early 2011 at the five star Royal Mare in Crete and the five star Royal Olympian in the West Peloponnese.
